Hybrid Clapton Coils How To for Low Gauge & Low Wrap Count TC heaven

Been on the hunt for a way to make simple nickel coils for TC at higher Ohms and came across a thread on FastTech entitled:

On page 7 he links to an updated Google docs table where there is a tab for building claptons from Kanthal wrapped with Nickel in various gauges.

From the table I built a 28 gauge Kanthal wrapped with 32 gauge Nickel Clapton wire.
5 wraps spaced 2.5mm diam (about 50mm length of wire), which came to 0.4 Ohms. You have to adjust the TC temp for the control to work properly (adjustment factors in the table lines 70-111. Divide the temp by the factor and convert to F {C temp/factor*9/5+32} ) and have found that the coil i built works perfectly at 300 F.
Having had trouble with twisted nickel / Kanthal builds being springy and difficult to coil i was surprised just how easy it was to do the clapton wrapping with the nickel and then how compliant and easy the final coil build was.
So as a proof of concept it worked... now for a 9/10 wrap 0.9 Ohm TC coil???
