Smokeless Owl button lock
#1
has anybody had a go at changing the button lock on the Smokeless Owl..because the centre "unlock" position seems to be a bit touchy..I'd ideally like it to be larger, or even turn fully one way=unlock, and fully the other way=lock.
There's little plastic landing zones under the button which control this, so can either cut them out or build them up as required..
thoughts?

I have just had to take mine apart as the switch was getting progressively worse. The last part of the travel was getting increasingly more stiff.
After cleaning everything up I cleared away some of the solder as it looked like my switch pin was making contact with the edge of the solder blob. I then cut off one of the lugs on the switch button as I suspect this was hitting the red wire. Reassembled, its now much smoother and hitting better.

yes, I do think the button doesnt touch absolutely square at all the mating surfaces, and that little blob of solder was present on my red wire too, sort of tilting things.

I didnt take any photos, (may put some up tonight) but I've just this minute finished replacing the red wire with a copper plate. It needs some fiddling, but essentially sits like this O---O with one hole for the 510 pin, and the other for the button.
